Cumaru (Dipteryxodorata) is often commonly called Brazilian teak. Every day this tree can be found in the moist forests of the Amazon river basin. It is distinguished by the 1st class of durability and hardness greater than the native oak (by 160%).
Occurs in colors from yellow-brown, through reddish brown to intense brown. The irregular, wavy course of the jars adds a unique charm to this type of wood.
It is a genre that copes well with insects and rot. All this thanks to the high, natural resistance to moisture absorption. This also translates into wood stability in the dimension and that it does not twist.
Dimensions of boards:
- Terrace board - 21 × 145 mm

The high density of Cumaru makes the saw very quickly during the processing. Therefore, before screwing to joists, wood should be drilled and milled. Cumaru, due to low water absorption, is distinguished by low susceptibility to oil absorption. That is why it is worth covering wood at least twice with oil.
Due to the fact that it is very durable, it can be successfully used as construction and terrace wood. Due to the diverse colors, bathroom furniture, pianos, cabinets and kayaks are often made of it.
